Cyclic salt spray corrosion testing at AWL
We are pleased to be helping Pulse Power and Management (PPM) Ltd based in Watchfield near Swindon confirm the required corrosion durability and adhesion properties of coatings applied to their products using IEC 60068-2-52:2017 severity 1 test cycles and duration.
This test is used to simulate natural corrosion conditions in a controlled laboratory environment by exposing test specimens to repeated cycles of salt mist, humid air, and dry-off conditions to help manufacturers evaluate the reliability of protective coatings applied to products such as ship radar, deck and communication equipment, navigational instruments, and electric vehicle parts for the automotive sector.
